MFT Wednesday Stamp Club: Alter it!!!

Good evening everyone!  I received my MFT VIP kit yesterday, and could not wait to ink it up!  This weeks challenge was to do an altered project.  Honestly, I'm not positive this counts since I made it from scratch... but crossing my fingers!  This was a good opportunity to use the Bind it All as well.  There's only so many things one can bind :)   I'm super excited about this project because I feel like I'm progressing along nicely as a paper crafter.  It's my favorite project thus far.

The project is a Post-it note holder- created as a Birthday Present for my friend Frederique.  The good news is she doesn't read my blog! (Or I don't think she does).

Stamps: Lovin From the Oven (MFT)
Paper: Basic Grey Nook and Pantry, Baja Breeze, Hot Fudge
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Copics
Accessories: MFT ribbon, button, dimensionals, bind-it-all
Techniques: EF, Nesties, sponging, paper piecing

Early Morning Stamping!

I woke up at 4:40 this morning and said, why don't I make a card before work?!   I may be a little bit crazy.  Occasionally coworkers will ask me to make a card for anothers birthday- inevitably the news comes one day in advance.   So, a male birthday card seemed appropriate this morning as they are the most difficult to conjure up at a moments notice.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Not Quite Navy (SU), Kraft (SU), Chocolate (mft)
Stamps: Wanted (SU), Happy Birthday c1257 (CTMH)
Accessories: Eyelets(We R Memory Keepers), Cuttlebug Embossing folders.

A New Year!! Time to begin the posts

My first creation of the new year!  One of my dear friends has a birthday fast approaching, so I took the opportunity to play along in My Favorite Things guest design team challenge.  Who could resist with all the new goodies I recieved at Christmas!!   I started with the main image in "Girls Night Out" by MFT.  I used my new embossing folder to emboss my shimmery white paper before using my nestie label die (also new).  I paper pieced and matted with my (yes new) Love Nest paper by My Mind's Eye.  MFT crystals, a frame out of SU's Hodge Podge hardware, button treatment and some eyelets finished it off!  The reds were perfect for my friend; she loves all things red.

I'm still getting used to this blogging thing. It's a miracle I figured out how to add a photo!

I wanted to make my very first chipboard album.  I have a Bind-It-All, so I might as well use it!  I created this 4x6 black and creme album to hold photos from my wedding.  This will be mailed off to my aunt very soon.  I used designer paper from a DCWV stack called La Creme.  There are so many amazing prints in this stack!

One of these days I'll remember to take photos when it's light outside. I haven't quite mastered the art of capturing my work in photos.

I'm already up past my "bedtime" - I guess it's time to say goodnight!
